About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Lead – Building & Tunnel Services to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery team.
This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, managing contractors, and ensuring the reliability and performance of assets across Building & Tunnel Services.
The successful candidate will drive compliance with maintenance standards while promoting safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the delivery of maintenance service providers against contract requirements and delivery expectations.
- Support the delivery of works by planning, project management, work methodology and implementation of works on site to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and complies with designs and Metro Trains Sydney standards.
- Monitor the quality of works undertaken and ensure corrective actions are undertaken where deficiencies are identified.
- Support monitoring and delivery to the approved budget and plan, and make appropriate interventions where deviation occurs.
- Ensure adherence to the Technical Maintenance Plan and Annual Works Plan by supporting detailed works planning. Including access, resources, scope, cost, and timing, also contributing to the preparation of the team’s annual budget.
- Actively participate in safety talks and other team safety activities.
About You
You are a resilient leader with strong decision-making capability, able to remain calm under pressure and effectively triage incidents in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Ideally, you bring at least 5 years’ experience in rail or a related industry across Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC disciplines, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
You will also possess the following:
- Minimum Cert III in relevant field
- Driver’s license.
