About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Safety Risk and Assurance Advisor to join our Safety, Quality, Risk and Environment (SQRE) team. Reporting to the Safety Assurance and Audit Lead, this role is critical in supporting the delivery of MTS’s Risk and Assurance program, ensuring compliance with our safety management framework and driving continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining best practice systems, policies and processes that support safe, reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and delivery of the MTS Risk and Safety Assurance program
Coordinate technical systems safety assurance activities to meet compliance requirements
Ensure alignment with legislative obligations and MTS Safety Management Systems
Contribute to performance analysis and reporting across risk and assurance activities
Support development of safety, quality, and risk policies and processes
Build strong relationships with internal teams, regulators and stakeholders
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are a proactive safety and risk professional with experience in regulated operational environments, ideally within rail or infrastructure.
You will bring:
3–5 years’ experience in safety, risk, or assurance roles
Systems engineering experience desirable
Experience using bow-tie methodology or critical risk framework desirable
Experience supporting enterprise and operational risk reviews
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
The ability to deliver training and uplift capability across risk and assurance frameworks
A collaborative approach and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
