About the Role
Metro Trains Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, BRA Civil & Structures to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery team.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer Track & Civil, you will provide technical oversight of BRA civil and structural assets. You will manage defect identification, remediation strategies, Agreed Remediation Plan close-out, maintenance planning and risk-based asset performance improvements.
In this hands-on technical position, you will:
Monitor BRA civil defects and specified assets
Prepare impact notices supported by drawings, photographs and site inspection reports
Review, update and coordinate the close-out of Agreed Remediation Plans
Monitor SW TMP delivery and defect management
Coordinate and close out physical works with verifiable evidence
Analyse defect trends and support Asset Management Plan requirements
Contribute to technology uplift initiatives
Support updates to the annual Maintenance Works Program
Undertake risk assessments and support a safety-first culture
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
As a qualified Civil Engineer, you bring proven expertise in passenger rail infrastructure and civil asset management, with a strong track record in maintenance planning, defect remediation, asset performance optimisation and root cause failure analysis. Your knowledge of rail industry standards, safety regulations and asset management systems enables you to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure outcomes.
A confident communicator and collaborative stakeholder manager, you are solutions-focused, safety-driven and committed to delivering reliable, long-term outcomes for critical rail infrastructure.
You will also possess the following:
Recognised Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering; or
Recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and Recognition of Prior Learning by an MTS accepted RTO, to a degree level equivalent qualification.
