About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, BRA Track to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery team.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer Track & Civil, you will provide engineering expertise to manage track asset defects, risks and remediation activities, ensuring the safe, compliant and reliable operation of critical rail infrastructure.
About the Role
As a key member of the Engineering & Maintenance Delivery team, you'll play a leading role in managing track asset performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the network. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing track asset defects, remediation activities and risk assessments.
Preparing impact notices and supporting evidence for asset-related triggers.
Coordinating the close-out of Agreed Remediation Plans (ARPs) and defect management activities.
Supporting the delivery of maintenance programs, technology uplift projects and asset improvement initiatives.
Analysing defect trends and asset performance data to inform maintenance and reliability strategies.
Supporting the completion and integration of critical infrastructure works to improve operational performance and safety.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are an experienced Civil Engineer with extensive expertise in passenger rail infrastructure, track maintenance, and asset management. Your background includes defect management, reliability enhancement, and maintenance planning, supported by a strong knowledge of rail engineering standards, asset management systems, and risk management practices.
A collaborative and solutions-focused professional, you're passionate about delivering safe, compliant and high-performing rail assets while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
You will also possess the following:
Recognised Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering; or
Recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and Recognition of Prior Learning by an MTS accepted RTO, to a degree level equivalent qualification.
